Clean Up & Climb
$35/person, half day community work & half day climbing

Whether you're new to climbing, or looking for a fun way to give back to the climbing community- this event is for you! We will spend a half day doing environmental stewardship & safety work, at a climb crag in Kananaskis or Bow Valley. Then we get to spend the remainder of the day top rope climbing.
Crag safety assessment - bolts and anchors, overhead and crag base hazards, loose rock
Trash pick up parking lot, trail, and around the crag
Top rope climbing
Meet people in the climbing community!
Includes: ACMG certified guide, climbing equipment, $25 TABVAR membership
Belay skills are not taught during this event, but volunteers will be available to belay you if you do not have these skills
Bolting Clinic
This one day bolting clinic will cover the how-to’s of making bomber Glue-in bolt placements. Learn the different applications of bolt types and glues, gear recommendations, how to remove old hardware, as well as the local standards for bomber placements. Although this clinic will be geared toward bolting in a caving environment, the skills are applicable to rock climb development as well. All profit from the registration fee will be donated to TABVAR to go towards route maintenance & development in the Bow Valley.

Booking Confirmation and Itinerary
After registering for a course or completing a custom booking request you will receive an email confirmation and an itinerary for the course. A pre-trip emailed will be sent 2-3 days prior to the course booking date to confirm location, meeting place and time, and any weather or conditions considerations.
Transportation
Program participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the course location.
Weather and Cancellation Policy
All programs will run as scheduled unless weather conditions are deemed to be a risk to the group. Participants are responsible for packing appropriate clothing for all possible weather conditions and for extended time outdoors. In the case of a course reschedule, your requested ‘next best date’ will be used.
